Used Car Dealers in Trinidad and Tobago fall into two categories when it comes to having their own web site.  It’s either they “get it” and they know the importance of having a web site.  Or they “don’t get it”  in which case their only response is a smart  “no” without explanation.

The Truth

No dealer needs a web site if it makes them uncomfortable.  A web site is a marketing tool, a tool that can be used to generate leads. It attracts real live people, some ready to buy vehicles that are in inventory,  Having a web site is about dollars and common sense, not keeping up with the rest of the world.

It’s also about the money.  Without being able to see the value, people hate to spend money. Dealers are no different. They feel the same way but a few who also felt that way totally changed their minds when they found out the number of ways a web site really was a benefit to their business.

Used Car dealers as a group would prefer that they did not have to spend a penny on a web site.  These same dealers see the value is spending on permanent newspaper ads.

Any Internet presence is better than none at all.

There are a number of options you can take as a dealer to establish a web presence, even if all you do is provide directions to your dealership. With a little online skill you can get a web site up and running within a couple of days, all for free.  It is not recommended but it’s possible.
